Throwing My Hat in the Ring
So, I didn't get the supervisor position. BUT I am okay with that. The guy that they picked has been there forever and he used to be a pick up supervisor years ago. So It just makes sense that he should get it. They are keeping an eye out for someone that they can pick up on Saturday nights though. If I keep my nose clean and keep the bug in the man's ear, there is a chance that I can get my foot in the door once a week and then slowly edge myself into more supervisor shifts through out the week.

My Views
I went to church this past Sunday. I'm not entirely sure why. I guess I just had a wild hair. I sat by myself through ALL of sacrement meeting, stayed awake, and didn't play with my phone. It bummed me out that my family wasn't there though. Turns out they were just late and sat in the foyer for the sacrement. I went to primary and helped my mom with her class. She called me "Sister Ivie". That kinda freaked me out because I have never been that before and it was weird to hear it. I prefer just Panther. Thanks.

It was interesting that I chose this Sunday to venture to church. The main topic of the talks was that of marriage. How no one really gets married anymore. They just live together and split easily enough when they get sick of eachother, but in the mean time they enjoy all the pleasures of being married with out all the commitment involved. And that a lot of people get married but divorce, or cheat on their spouse at the first sign of conflict or boredom. That topic applies to me so it kept me interested. I was pleased that even though it was all done in an obviously religious way, it was not really "preachy".

My mom and I had a discussion about religion. That too was weird. Since I became inactive I have never discussed my religious beliefs with anyone in my family. I had some good points about things and so did she. We weren't fighting, we were just discussing or views and trying to get the other person to see our points. It was nice because we both knew that we weren't going to change the other person's mind, but we got to have an intelligent conversation about it anyways.

It's Valentine's Day

Me and Bear ate at this wonderful restaurant called "Buca di Beppo". It is an Italian restaurant. Even though the building is fairly big they have it sectioned off in different rooms. Each room has a different theme. Lots of old school Italian decor. Posters, pictures, lights, etc. Each room only has about a dozen tables so it makes for a very intimate feeling. They even have a table that you can reserve to sit IN the kitchen. Kinda cool. The portions of food are enormous. Bear and I got one sampler plate and we brought home plenty of left overs. Definently a date place. Think Lady and the Tramp sharing off the same plate. The bring one big plate of food and smaller plates for you to dish up individual servings onto. Service was amazing. For dessert we were to full to actually eat anything so we each had a raspberry lemon drop martini. Phenominal. Very simple but very nice V-Day for us.

New News

I got an email from my best friend's mom's best friend (did you catch that?). I am going to be picking up about 12 hours a week at her tanning salon. I'll be working three mornings a week to help with the busy season. That works out good for me because it will get me out of the house a little more and it will be a little bit of extra money. Maybe I'll even get to use the tanning beds for cheap so that I won't be the whitest girl in Arizona anymore.

And that's the new scoop.
