My Main Job: I work forty hours a week. My responsibilities are fairly easy. Light paperwork most of the time and some times light machinery work. A few months back I expressed interest in a pick-up supervisor position. That means that if they need an extra supervisor they can call me, but if they don't I work on the production floor like normal. I did not get the position. They gave it to an operator who had already been a pick-up supervisor in the past. So I have a little "bird" that kin...

When I married Bear I knew that he was a drumline instructor. He has been since I met him. I just never knew everything that went into that whole scene. I never knew the time, energy, and money that went into it. Bear teaches both during the marching season and the winter season. For those of you who don't know the difference I'll explain. Marching season includes the entire band. Brass, woodwinds, colorguard, and percussion. They memorize music and drill and perform half time shows at...

I want to apologize to anyone that has been missing my articles. My life has been so insane lately. Here's what's going on... My husband's car has broken down. We have been juggling work schedules and car availability. Two nights ago MY car broke down (just had to replace a couple belts) but we had to manage another car to do our runnings around and such. Because Bear's car is down and not much worth fixing we have been trying to find a new car or truck for him. I just finished some ...

My husband has been playing the Warcraft games for a long time. I could never really get into them. The whole strategy game is beyond my normal thinking. But naturally when World of Warcraft came out, Bear bought it. I watched him play for a little while and then decided that I would give it a try. I am hooked. I have two characters on two different servers. One of my favorite things about this game is you can totally customize your characters appearance. Hair color, facial features, ma...

I originally started blogging to get myself back into the habit of writing. I haven't done too well the last few weeks, but it is what it is. I think I have found something new to help motivate me to write. The reactions and opinions of strangers. I am a person who likes to go to the bar not to drink, but to watch people. Getting replies and reactions from people I don't know about my articles is very similar. Instead of watching people and analyzing them by body language and aesthetic things...

I am so excited. Friday morningme, my aunt, and my mom are all getting on a plane and flying up to Salt Lake City, Utah to see our family. They all live in Ogden, but the closest airport is SLC. My grandpa has been sick lately so we are taking an all girl trek. My grandpa is my aunt's dad, my mom's step-dad, and (duh) my grandpa. I guess that my great grandma hasn't been in the best of health lately either. Those are the not so happy reasons that we are headed out. The good reasons are to...

Bear and I have been together off and on for just about four years now. We were never in a serious relationship to have a fight. So we never did. We have been a serious couple now for a year. We have never had a fight. This worries me. I have a bad temper, and it only gets worse when I'm mad. Bear has never seen this side of me. I almost hoped that while we were planning the wedding that we would have some major disagreement about anything just so we could have a fight. He is generally passiv...

This is my first rant. I CAN NOT stand stupid people. I work in a low intelligence needed job. If you can pass a piss test and have a high school education then you can work at my job. Common sense is a thing that just doesnt exist. Instead of listening to what people that know what is going on, they do what ever the they want. Complicating other peoples' jobs, not doing theirs, or doing theirs wrong is practically the only thing that these people know how to do. Most of them have some ...

Throwing My Hat in the Ring So, I didn't get the supervisor position. BUT I am okay with that. The guy that they picked has been there forever and he used to be a pick up supervisor years ago. So It just makes sense that he should get it. They are keeping an eye out for someone that they can pick up on Saturday nights though. If I keep my nose clean and keep the bug in the man's ear, there is a chance that I can get my foot in the door once a week and then slowly edge myself into more s...

So today is the day of love. I don't know the history of today about St. Valentine and all so I'm not going to pretend. But I am pretty sure that however it started, it was not meant to be what it is today. Theoretically "V-Day" is supposed to be an extra special day that you show your loved one how much you really care for them. I have no problem with that. What I do have a problem with is what society has turned it into. A lot of women EXPECT flowers, chocolates, and gifts on this day...

Everyone, I'm sure, at some point posts an article stating their opinions about religion. This is mine. I was raised in a relatively strict Christian home. I went to church every Sunday. I went to church activities (other than sunday) at least once a week.I went to camps, meetings, and seasonal outings. I was happy. Things were simple. When I got into high school everything changed. In high school I was introduced to things that I never knew existed. So many different religions and met...

When I was 16 I wanted what most 16 year old girls wanted. A belly button ring. Of course my mom said no. And to top it all off she said that if she ever saw a ring in my navel, that she would rip it out of my stomach. *SIGH* No piercing AND a threat to my well-being. Every other girl in school (including my bestest friend ever) had a shiny metal hoop or barbell protruding from their stomachs. Never was there a more dismayed teenager. Two years later a magical thing happened. I turned 18! ...

First, a little bit of history. I have worked at my job for 2 1/2 years. Most of the people that I work with are 30+. The pay is decent and the work is extremely easy. Therfore a lot of people I work with a lot of people that started working there years and years ago and got roped into staying. A lot of them are stupid and a lot of them are bitter. I got a lot of shit for being a young female working there. I work in the production department of the local newspaper. I help run the machines th...

I am not totally sure when, but at some point my husband aquired the nickname "hubby bear". This is our story. Bear and I met about four years ago at a friends birthday party. We spent the entire summer hangin' out with friends. Not as a couple, but as a couple of friends. Then, he went back to work and I went back to school to my senior year. We went our seperate ways. The following summer we started hanging out again. We dated each other, but it was nothing too serious. After that summer...

I grew up as the only girl in my family, and I'm the oldest. This made me the guinea pig child. I got my own room, but all things were tried on me first. It wasn't that bad, but it seemed to me that my little bothers always got things a bit easier. It was nice in a way though. Being able to do things first was always a great bragging point. I was raised in an all mormon family. When I was 8, I got baptised, went to church ever sunday and youth activities every wednesday. When I got into h...
